Shoghik is a passionate graduate student at Harvard’s Human Development and Education program and the visionary founder of Nor Luyce, Armenia’s first NGO supporting adolescent girls from orphanages and vulnerable backgrounds. With a Fulbright-backed M.Ed. from Lehigh University and a degree from Yerevan State Linguistic University, she’s made impactful contributions as a leader with Peace Corps and Birthright Armenia. Her expertise in tackling school bullying, showcased in two influential books, complements her advocacy for mental health and self-care. In this workshop, she will deliver a thought-provoking session on self-care for educators, bringing her unique insights and creative solutions.

With a remarkable career spanning education leadership and management, Candace TenBrink combines academic depth with entrepreneurial flair. She is an Associate Professor at the University of Houston–Downtown and a scholar in Harvard’s Education Leadership program. Her Fulbright research delved into corporate revitalization in Poland and technological shifts in Moldova. Having taught strategic thinking to undergraduates and MBA students, Candace also brings a wealth of industry experience, from supply chain management to founding a film production company. Gavriel channels his academic excellence and leadership skills into transformative education strategies. A Summa Cum Laude psychology graduate with a Master of Public Policy from Cambridge, he’s a Fulbright scholar at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.

His leadership roles include chairing the Israeli Model UN Association, serving as president of the Open University Student Union, and advising key policymakers on AI and digital learning initiatives. As part of the workshop design team, Gavriel is shaping an inspiring and innovative experience for all attendees.

Doris, an educator and artist with a decade of experience, is a master of blending art with social-emotional well-being. Founder of the Rivers Art Foundation and co-founder of Art in Medicine Ghana, she has championed therapeutic art for children with special needs and terminal illnesses.

Her expertise as art director of Awefa Artfusion shines in creative workshops and team-building. In this workshop, Doris will guide participants through a rejuvenating session on self-care, showcasing how art can drive personal growth and emotional wellness.

Shreya, a master's student in Harvard’s Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology program, leverages her background in Computer Science and Data Science to reimagine education. Her research on AI-enhanced learning models addresses critical challenges in digital-age education.

Ben’s experience as an educator and his dual degree in Government & Politics and Economics uniquely shape his approach to education. Now enrolled in Harvard’s Teaching & Teacher Leadership Program, he is deeply committed to enhancing teacher quality and elevating the profession.

In this workshop, Ben will deliver a session on teaching and learning, sharing practical strategies and heartfelt reflections drawn from his rich experience in the classroom.

Alex, a Fulbright Scholar and Barakett Family Fellow, completed his Master of Education at Harvard GSE in 2024 and has been a driving force in education technology. He co-founded SmartUp and EDUINO, a European digital platform that has impacted low- and middle-income countries.

Currently a Program Manager at TeachAI, Alex is at the forefront of advancing AI literacy. His dynamic session at the workshop will delve into integrating technology into education, offering cutting-edge perspectives on the future of learning.

Blerim Jashari is a master student in the Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology program and also incoming PhD student at Harvard University, Graduate School of Education. He holds a degree in Cognitive Sciences and Natural Sciences from Minerva University and has extensive experience designing curricula for in-person, virtual, and hybrid education programs. Recently, Blerim designed and co-taught a course at Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences titled AI Tools for Learning Design. He is passionate about developing programs that help educators and students build both functional and critical AI literacy. He believes that good teaching and engagement start with a solid foundation in the science of learning.
