Telangana University

Telangana University, established through Act Number 28 of 2006 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, aims to serve the academic needs of backward and rural communities in North Telangana. It addresses regional imbalances in higher education, particularly in remote and tribal areas of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Located in the former Nizamabad district, the university is accredited by NAAC and offers specialized programs in Arts, Science, Commerce, Business Management, Social Sciences, Law, and Education. Currently, it has 2000 students enrolled across twenty-five departments.

Patron : Prof T.Yadagiri Rao

Prof T. Yadagiri Rao is Vice-Chancellor of Telangana University has a huge research (28 years) and teaching (30 years) experience and published several research articles in National and Internationally reputed journals. Under his able guidance, 15 students have finished PhD and honoured with State Best Teacher Award By the Government of Telangana in 2021. As a distinguished scholar, Prof Rao visited United States of America, United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, Singapore, Indonesia for delivering lectures and participation in academic assignments.

Co-Patron: Prof M.Yadagiri

Prof M. Yadagiri is Registrar of Telangana University and Senior Professor of Commerce. He has a brilliant academic career in the area of Accounting and Finance. He has put in 25 years of active teaching and research experience by publishing several research articles in national and international journals. He has authored and co-authored 35 books on Accounting, Financial Management, Banking Law and Practice, Quantitative Techniques and Taxation meant for Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate students and honoured with State Best Teacher Award By the Government of Telangana.

Organising Secretary: Dr Praveen Mamidala

Mamidala's dedication to education and empowerment, particularly for marginalized communities, is truly commendable. By investing in teacher training, he ensures that the quality of education improves; creating a ripple effect that benefits students and the broader community. As the Principal of University College at Telangana University, Mamidala continues to mentor postgraduate students, furthering his impact on the next generation of leaders and professionals.
